Peace I Leave With You
Life in the Spirit
Returns for a Summer Session!
By popular demand, we will offer a
Life in the Spirit
mini-series this June and July at St. Elizabeth’s! The Tuesday sessions will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on June 25, July 9 and July 23 in our school auditorium.
This summer session will build on the six-week
Life in the Spirit
series we offered this Lent. Even if you did not participate in that series, you are welcome to register for this summer session. Each evening session includes dinner, praising God through prayer and singing, a video presentation about our Christian faith, and small group discussions.
You can register through our parish website or by using the forms available in the Commons.
In addition, there will be a planning meeting for this series on Tuesday, June 11, at 7:00 p.m. in our school auditorium. If you are willing to volunteer to help with any phase of continuing Life in the Spirit this summer and beyond, please come to this meeting!

First meeting Monday, June 17th – 6:30 pm
Dear St. Elizabeth,
I am Stefan Yap, your summer seminarian and soon-to-be Transitional Deacon. I am one of 78 seminarians who are studying for the Archdiocese of Washington. I am very excited to be assigned at St. Elizabeth and have the opportunity to serve and get to know many of you during my time here. I was born in New York City but grew up in Elmont, Long Island and East Brunswick, NJ. I am the second of three children, with an older brother and a younger sister. I moved to Maryland to study at the University of Maryland College Park and graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics and Statistics in 2014.
After graduating I entered seminary at the Saint John Paul II Seminary where I studied philosophy at the Catholic University of America. In 2016, I began my theological studies at Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD. I will be ordained a Transitional Deacon on June 8th by Archbishop Wilton Gregory at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle. As a Transitional Deacon, I will have one more year of seminary formation and studies before being ordained a priest for the Archdiocese in June of 2020. I cannot express how excited I am for ordination and for spending my last year of seminary here at St. Elizabeth. None of this would be possible without the prayers and support from parishioners like you. Thank you to Msgr. Parent and everyone at St. Elizabeth for this opportunity. Know of all of my prayers for you and thank you for your prayers for me.
